Survived the end of the Mayan Calendar and decided it would be a good thing to rekindle my photography with the beginning of winter and the start of a new Mayan epoch :) I have a cold but decided to try for a shortest day of the year sunset at the island. I will post one of those latter, but on the way home I passed this Christmas decoration in front of farm along the shores of the lake. I've seen it over the years but have never tried to photograph it. I stopped this time and on purpose unfocused the camera to create what photographers call Bokeh which caused the lights to bloom. It wasn't all that long ago that if you wanted a Christmas tree you would have had to cut and bring it home behind the horse or wagon. Time has changed a lot of things but it seems the spirit of the West is still alive and well and that brings a smile to my face.
