<3 day

Love the felt heart garland I made with some of the other med school wives last week. So easy to do. We cut the hearts by hand and the whole thing took less than 2 hours to put together.

Since I wasn’t able to do any holiday decorating in NYC (all my decorations were in storage) it’s been more fun to get out my decorations here. I made the LOVE blocks the first year we were married from a kit from Pebbles in my Pocket. The blocks are totally uneven but I think they look nice. The frame was from the dollar spot at Target a few years ago. (Don’t mind the garland taped up with packing tape! I tried everything else and it kept falling down!)

A Valentine surprise in the mail from Mamacita. Thanks Mom, they’re yummy!

Heidi’s been here this weekend and I’ve loved having some company! Jacob has midterms this week so he’s been gone all day everyday studying. Having Heidi to hang out with made up for the fact that we won’t be celebrating Valentine’s Day until next week. Heidi and I did some shopping yesterday at the outlets and some other fun things. We’ve been on the hunt for some fabric for a project I’m cooking up for the baby’s room. I think I finally know what I want to do in there.

Hope you have a lovely weekend and holiday with your valentines!

Hey, Home Fabrics on Stephanie and Sunset is having a rockin’ deal on fabric for President’s Day. It’s in the same parking lot as Toys R Us. Check it out. I’m going to tomorrow for a project I’m working on.

Cute garland. If you are going to do anything crafty for the next holiday, let me know ahead a time so I can copy you. Well, maybe not Saint Patrick’s Day, but definitely Easter.

Such cute decorations. You are craftier than I…. ;) And I admire you for your patience with Jacob’s crazy study schedule. It will all pay off in the end!

Yum – those cookies look so good! And I love the garland. I think Lily might have to help me make that next year :) .

Nice garland. How’s your pregnancy going? Any new belly pics? Discussion about names? Nursery decor? Scrapbooking for baby? I remember reading your blog and threads on 2peas way back before Jacob ever left for his mission. I miss hearing from you in the blog world!
