25

My 25th birthday was August 29th. Jacob has a hard time planning birthday/Christmas presents. He doesn’t pick up on hints to get ideas in advance. Last year I told him I’d either choose my gift or what I’d like to do for the evening, but not both. He chose to plan the evening, which was a lovely night on the town in NYC. This year he actually tackled both! He surprised me with tickets to see Jersey Boys at the Venetian! I was so impressed because I’d never told him I’d like to see the show or that it was playing here. Before the show we shared some appetizers at the Grande Cafe (I think!) at the Palazzo. The show was so fun (and so different than seeing Broadway shows in NYC in those tiny, old theaters.) The girl at the ticket office upgraded our seats since it was my birthday. I think we sat in the 10th row! After the show we had planned to go to Serendipity 3 at Caesar’s Palace but after the show the strip was so crowded that we decided to leave. We ended up at the Cheesecake Factory where we shared another appetizer and got some cheesecake. It was such a fun night! At home he gave me my gifts: Gossip Girl on DVD and an aebleskiver pan (which I totally wanted and was such a surprise!)

We forgot to take any pictures, but you can take my word for it that I had a really nice birthday!

P.S. Are my posts still showing up full of spam in your google reader?

Jason’s still not all that great :D School just started around the U and for the very first time, I’m realizing that 25 is kind of old. Where does the time go!!?!?!

I forgot you live in Vegas now and was thinking wow, you flew to Vegas for your birthday?! What is the Jersey Boys about? We want to take a trip to Vegas sometime, but aren’t sure what we want to do there. I’m excited to hear there is a Serendipity there. Had you ever been to the NYC one? Serendipity is one of my fave movies!
