Better late than never, right?
We spent the afternoon of the 4th at a BBQ with our lovely neighbors.

Then we decided to go up on the roof and take some pictures. The view is pretty spectacular up there.

We didn’t want to brave the heart of the crowds for the fireworks so we decided to try farther north at 72nd street to see if we could still see the fireworks. We sure lucked out because we didn’t have to arrive very early, had a nice spot of grass on a hill, and had an almost flawless view of the spectacular fireworks. I didn’t bring my camera because I wanted to just enjoy the evening, but here’s a photo that my Dad sent me from a website.

beautiful pictures of New York!! Looks like you’ve had so many great memories there!! Thanks for sharing!
What a great way to spend your last days in NY! And how awesome that must have been to hear the Philharmonic in the park.
Your building did have a great view of the city. Glad you go to do such fun things this summer.
